Owen, known professionally as FilmsbyO (owengarceaumedia on Instagram), spends most of his time immersed in automotive storytelling. Whether he's editing footage, refining photographs, or capturing moments behind the lens, his workspace is an extension of his creative process. After years of working at a basic plastic desk, he needed something more. Something that could keep up with the pace of his work and support the kind of focus his craft demands.

This desk was built to do just that.

We started with black walnut, chosen for both its durability and depth of character. The base is powered by the SmartLegs 2-ER system by LifeDesk, allowing Owen to shift seamlessly between sitting and standing throughout his workflow. Every component was shaped around utility and feel. A custom black velvet-wrapped stand holds his most frequently used cameras and lenses within easy reach, softly underlit to add depth. His monitor rests on a hand-sculpted walnut riser, sized specifically to keep his screen at the perfect height.

Because Owen works long hours in front of a screen, the science behind biophilic design played a critical role in shaping this piece. We focused on creating something that felt grounded and alive. The form is soft and organic with an all-natural hardwax oil allowing the depth of the grain to breathe. It feels like real wood because it is. Solid, and built to last, designed to support focus, flow, and creative longevity for the most ambitious creators.
